Terms of Service

1. The service

Cloudj ("we", "us") provides virtual machines (VMs), public IPv4 addresses and DDoS mitigation ("DDoS Shield") through the console at cloudj.net and its API. By creating an account you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate account details. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your password, API tokens and SSH keys secret.

2. Account and verification

Creating a VM requires a verified e-mail address. We may ask for additional verification (for example a payment method check) before enabling a feature or when we detect risk. We may refuse or close accounts that appear fraudulent, duplicate or abusive.

3. Prices and billing

Prices are shown in USD before you order. VMs are billed either by the hour or by a prepaid period (1, 12, 24 or 36 months). The first hour or the first period is charged when the VM is created. Hourly VMs are charged every hour they exist, running or stopped.

Your wallet is prepaid. When the balance cannot cover the next charge, the VM is stopped and locked; if no top-up arrives within 3 days the VM and its disk are deleted. Topping up settles the outstanding charge and unlocks the VM automatically.

Changing a plan or a billing period is settled immediately: the difference is charged or credited to your wallet for the remaining time.

4. Refunds

Hours already used are not refundable. A prepaid period can be refunded to your wallet as amount paid minus the hours used at the hourly rate of the plan. Wallet credit is not paid back to a card except where the law requires it or a top-up was made in error and reported within 14 days; card refunds are made to the original payment method and may deduct payment-processor fees.

Chargebacks or payment disputes lead to immediate suspension of the account until the matter is resolved.

5. Your data and backups

You own the data on your VMs. We do not access it except to operate the service, to respond to abuse or as required by law. You are responsible for your own backups; snapshots and backups we offer are best-effort and are deleted together with the VM.

6. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in the console. Support is provided through tickets in the console and by e-mail; there is no telephone support.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or delete a VM or an account for non-payment, breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, a legal order or a serious security risk. You may delete your VMs at any time and request account deletion from the Account page; a person reviews the request and deletes the account and its data.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms; material changes are announced in the console or by e-mail at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.
