Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This policy protects our customers, our network and third parties. It applies to everything you run or send from Cloudj resources. Violations can lead to suspension or deletion without refund.

2. Prohibited uses

You may not use the service to:

3. Network and fair use

Every VM has a 10 Gbps port and a monthly traffic quota, counted from the day the VM is created and measured as shown on the Bandwidth page of the console; traffic blocked by our firewall and traffic inside our network are not counted. You are notified at 80% and 100% of the quota. Once a service is over its quota it may be suspended until extra bandwidth is purchased or its next month begins. Services sold with a dedicated Mbps rate, such as Private Cloud, have no traffic quota. Sustained saturation of the port that degrades other customers, or traffic patterns that look like an attack, may be rate-limited. IP addresses are assigned to a VM and may not be announced or used elsewhere.

4. Security

Keep your operating system and applications updated and keep your credentials secret. A VM that is compromised and used for abuse may be stopped and its network access removed until it is cleaned up.

5. Reporting abuse

Report abuse originating from our network to {support} with logs, timestamps (with time zone) and the IP addresses involved. We answer every report.
